Being a working mom oftentimes means having two full time jobs. Each one on it’s own may require the stamina of a champion Mustang.
But we are not champion Mustangs.
We are normal women trying to accomplish all that motherhood and employment entails. This can leave us extremely short on time and resources that allow us to navigate this crazy life.
Therefore, I have compiled my list of the 10 must-haves for the working mom. All of these items can be found on Amazon and delivered directly to your home……..which means no shopping in public with the monkeys of your circus!
#1. The Instant Pot
Let’s be real for a minute. One of the biggest challenges to the working mom is the ability to get dinner on the table in a timely fashion. It’s a necessity to allow time for all the other chaotic moments the night is sure to bring.
The Instant Pot has the ability to create magazine worthy meals in fast-food time.

#2. The Air Fryer
Another beauty that has graced my life within the last year. The Air Fryer offers crispy, fried meals in no time flat.
My kids LOVE to see what mommy is cooking and without fail, always try to grab items off of my stove top.
The nice thing about my Air Fryer is that I put the items in, hit the button and I don’t have to worry about hot grease sitting on the stove.
I feel so much more comfortable frying my food with air in an enclosed unit rather than in a bubbling accident-waiting-to-happen on the counter!

#3. The Otoscope
One of the major contributing factors in my ultra-supreme stress levels is the idea of constantly having to bring my kids into the doctor’s office. So often I think they might have an ear infection, only to find out they are simply teething, crabby or full of gas.
Introducing the Otoscope!
Take a look at your kid’s ear BEFORE spending that co-pay or taking 3 hours out of your day! Know ahead of time if a trip to the doctor may be needed.
#4. Barf Bags
This may seem mundane, but trust me, they are MAGICAL!
Gone are the days of a bucket by the bed that needs to be washed out afterwards. Oh and in the car? Sure, that’s a fun one to clean up!
These barf bags can be set next to the bed, kept in mama’s purse or left in the car for that immediate “MOMMY! I’m gonna PUKE!” that we all face at one point or another while on our way to the mother in law’s house.
Seriously, you need these.
#5. Storage Bench
Ufda…. the amount of shoes and crap in the front entryway of our home is always overwhelming!
It doesn’t have to be that way.
Now that my kids are all over the age of two, the storage bench has been a dream come true in our home. They each have the ability to hang up their own coats on the hooks (even when crawling up on the bench to reach is needed) and putting their own shoes away in the bench seat.
This allows us to enter the home with a clear pathway and the illusion that chaos does not await us when we come up the stairs.
#6. Tile Mate – (or what I refer to as the “thing finder”)
Seriously….looking for my keys, phone, purse etc each morning adds a minimum of 15 minutes to the time it takes to get myself and the kids out the door.
Not to mention that 90% of the time, those items are missing because one of those little monsters (ahem..I mean munchkins) took them!
The Tile Mate allows you to sync those items with your smart phone to set off a signal when you are searching, cutting WAY back on the time spent looking!
#7. The Power Bank
Oh yes, a power bank.
These are needed to keep you running during the day for work, providing extra power for your phone, computer and other devices.
This comes in handy on a long road trip with your kiddos to keep them from announcing to the world that their devices are “out of battery” or “broken” and begging mommy to ‘fix it’.
#8. Amazon Fire TV Stick
After a long night of work, us mamas have to cook, pick up, do baths/bottles/books and brush teeth and wrap up littles (who are usually trying to fight their way out of it) into their jammies.
The last thing we want to do in that last hour before bed time is share our television with our minions. If you have a TV in another room and do not want to pay the extra fees of equipping that TV with your cable or dish service, I suggest an Amazon Fire TV stick.
The Amazon Fire Stick will give your kids access to Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime shows and many other streaming options!
The remote is incredibly easy for the children to control and codes are used for any items that require additional purchases. This is a favorite in our home and all bedroom televisions have one!
#9. The Sound Machine
Oh man I swear by these things!
There is definitely something to be said about the ability of a simple machine that makes white noise to put a baby to sleep. As my children have gotten older, they continue to use theirs for the night light and lullaby’s.
Amazon now offers the Hatch Baby Rest Sound Machine.
The beauty of this product is that not only does it provide the sounds and lights that our favorite products of the past have had, but it is controllable from your smart phone!
No more doing the army crawl in and out of your child’s bedroom to adjust the settings or turn it down.
For the older kids, it also includes a Time-to-Rise feature!
Us working moms NEED the extra few minutes we can get on a weekend morning. Letting our kids know what time they can get OUT of bed before interrupting us is crucial!
Enjoy that hot cup of coffee before the crazy of the day begins!
#10. Travel Wine Glasses
Drum roll please…………………….. TRAVEL WINE GLASSES!!!!
My last and most enjoyable working mom must-have!
These wine glasses allow you to take your wine on the go. Use while camping, outside watching the kiddos run around and play, and never have to worry again about breaking your stems!
Made of silicone and lacking the stems, you can’t go wrong with these!
No doubt motherhood is tough. Working the 9-5 and trying to be the best mommy you can be?
Extra tough.
My hope for you is that these ideas can help you navigate the chaos and the crazy with a little……assistance!
