Building a brand is difficult. Building a brand that promotes positive dialogue, encourages feelings of self-worth and inspires everyone to think positively about themselves and others is an amazing undertaking. So few of us ingrain these ideas into our daily lives and even fewer weave it through the fabric of our businesses.

I knew I wanted a beautiful logo to represent my blog on my website and my social media presence. More importantly, I knew I wanted it created by a strong woman whose ideas and values aligned with what my blog represents to me.

Introducing Allison E. Manson – Multimedia Elements, a small business built around wholesome values & encouraging energy.

Allison E. Manson – Multimedia Elements

Allison is a Freelance Graphic Designer and the owner of Allison E. Manson – Multimedia Elements, whom I have had the pleasure of getting to know over the past few years. We are prior business colleagues and I have watched as she has grown her business and with it, spread her positive message.

After earning a degree from the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire in Mass Communication with an emphasis on Public Relations and a minor in Multimedia Communication, she decided to take the leap of starting a small business. Recently I was able to ask her some questions regarding her business to learn more about the driving force behind this inspiring company.

“I realized that it wasn’t just my family members who took note of my abilities. People were asking me if I had a site or samples, and I didn’t have a place to point them to. I decided it was time to really go for it, capitalize on my talents and showcase what I am capable of,” she stated when asked what led her to create a space where people could contact her directly for her services.

Allison offers branding and logo design; business card design; social media graphics; invitations, flyers, banners and bookmarks; original works on apparel, canvas, prints, stickers and posters; personal, strategic business and communication plans and so much more.

Her mantra that surrounds her business is “empower one another, practice self-love and live purposefully.”  Allison is a strong believer in positive thinking. It’s her goal to empower and encourage others through her work. Whether that is giving you the push you need with a custom-made logo when starting your own business, or through custom apparel and prints… it’s her hope that she leaves customers better than she found them.

She has always had an interest in art, in general, her whole life. “I’ve always been encouraged to express my creativity. I grew up around my dad creating and producing graphics – The Graphics Guys is our family-owned business; my grandpa – his dad – has a lot of artistic talent as well. They were definitely a driving force in my love for creativity. My dad introduced me to photoshop when I was probably 12, and since then I have loved being able to digitally create art.”

Allison has a wide variety of designs available for purchase. The idea behind each of her designs is to spread positive messages that encourage people to realize the importance of self-worth. She wants people to know it’s okay to celebrate your successes, it doesn’t make you self-centered. It’s okay to tell yourself you are beautiful, you don’t need someone to validate that for you. It’s okay to make time for yourself. Self-care is so much more important than people make it out to be.

I asked Allison for her two favorite designs:

Bee Kind: “This one was my first ever upload, and has been my best seller. It has received the most encouraging feedback which reassured me that yes, I can do this and I will not completely fail.”

Allison wants to bring more awareness to the importance of mental health and self-worth. “We are truly in charge of how we feel. Life is always going to have hardships and challenges, but it’s all about how to react. Will you push on and become stronger? Or will you sulk and let life eat you up?”

In a world that is so connected by social media and technology, it’s easy to find yourself comparing yourself to others. It’s easy to feel like you aren’t good enough or that your life is not exciting enough. Allison talked about how being intentional about thinking positively and practicing positive self-talk every single day has had a dramatic impact on her life and well-being.

She added, “I have 4 nephews and 2 nieces and seeing how much they absorb from the world around them is part of my ‘why’ as well. If I say it, they do it. I decided that I could make a sizable direct impact on their lives simply by being a positive influence. While I am not perfect and have definitely taught them some irreversible sass, I also make sure I am making a conscious effort to be encouraging and build them up. I want them to know they are worthy of kindness and love, and that they can do anything they put their minds to.”

Seeing Allison use her social media channels to spread positivity is quite the breath of fresh air. I am thrilled to be highlighting Allison and her business as I wholeheartedly believe that her message is worth spreading.
