From day one little girls learn to love

They run to a wounded butterfly, the cry of kitten, the frown on a friends face

They know that by simply wrapping their arms around them, everything will be better

And they say men are stronger

Young girls go through tough times

During the times that they think the worst of themselves, they do not run away, they organize

They do not fight with fists, yet they can sting deeply

And they say men are stronger

A young woman searches her youthful life for her one true love

She will nurture him, forgive him, deal with him

She will help him, love him, accept him

And they say men are stronger

A woman brings new life into this world

She has begun loving and caring for this child even before she knows it exists

She endures sweat, tears, screams, and agony just to hear its first cries

And they say men are stronger

The woman is the rock of the household

When all of life is chaos and noise, she is the glue that holds the family together

When her child sheds the faintest tear, or comes running needing stitches, she is right there to wrap her arms around the wounded once again

And they say men are stronger

The woman works her whole life

So when her children fly from her nest, they won’t forget to stop in

She may wonder when the wrinkles appeared on her forehead, and she will have a story for each one, but she will have no regrets

And they say men are stronger

The woman will never stop

She will always love, comfort, nurture, and protect without a question for herself

And if as you hear this, you can picture your mother, sister, daughter, or friend

I dare you to say

Men are stronger
